No More Ugly Black Fillings

Within the past 10-15 years, technology in dentistry has developed to the point where there is virtually no need for dental materials that are not tooth colored. At Palmyra Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, we use white filling material almost exclusively. This results in not only a very cosmetic restoration but one that we bonded to the tooth, not just “filling the hole”. In fact, the term “filling” may be outdated, since our modern dental materials now adhere to the remaining tooth, unlike silver mercury fillings that just fill the space left after removing a cavity.
