We really enjoy making dentures. This is probably because no other procedure that we perform allows us to make such an instant and major improvement in a patients appearance.
Denture fabrication, however, can also be challenging. Unlike most dental procedures, new dentures usually take some time for the patient to adapt to wearing. This is particularly true if the patient has never worn a denture before.
We always inform any patient contemplating tooth extraction, and denture fabrication, that no denture, no matter how well it fits, will give them the same chewing ability as a full set of healthy natural teeth. However, most patients that have their natural teeth extracted, and replaced with a denture, have endured limited eating ability due to many broken or loose teeth for many years. These patients usually see an immediate improvement in their chewing ability and comfort. After an adjustment period, which varies from patient to patient, most patients find they can chew better and more comfortably then they have been able to in years. This adjustment period may take only a few days for some patients or as long as several months. Younger patients, in good health, tend to adapt quicker.
The fee for all dentures that we fabricate, includes unlimited denture adjustment visits for one year. During these visits, dentures are "fine tuned" to maximize patient comfort and chewing ability.
For patients needing several natural teeth extracted, we can make what is called an immediate denture. An immediate denture is a denture that we fabricate before extracting the patients teeth. On the day the patients teeth are extracted, the denture is ready to be inserted immediately. The patient is never made to walk around with out teeth.

nture replaces a full arch of teeth and is totally supported by the patient's gums.
If a few healthy strong teeth can be saved, a Partial Denture is usually an easier alternative to adapt to.
Partial dentures attach to the patient's remaining natural teeth, with small clips, and usually hold more securely than a full denture. Unlike fixed bridges, however, they need to be removed by the patient for cleaning and to clean the remaining natural teeth which anchor it.
